Customer Support Technician: Career Interview with Steve Rossi

This month, one of the members of the technical team will have the opportunity to answer our questions: Steve Rossi shares his experience as a Customer Support Technician from Huseyin Celik’s team.

What is your role? What does it consist of?

I am a Customer Support Technician. My job is to respond to technical requests from our customers as well as the deployment of Windows-oriented projects. As of this year (2019), I am also responsible for apprentice management within the support department.

What is your typical day like?

Because of the various sorts of infrastructure we work on, every day is different from one another. So for me there is no such thing as a typical day.

Indeed, my assignments evolve according to customer needs, because at Net4All each customer project is unique. It is a real opportunity for me to work on various infrastructures: shared, dedicated and public cloud ones. Every day is a new challenge!

How did you end up here? How long have you been working in this profession?

Since I was little, I have been passionate about new technologies. So I decided to make my passion my profession. I have a Federal Certificate of Competence in Computer Science. Before joining Net4All, I was IT manager at MyPoject, which was a most rewarding experience.

What do you like most about this job?

On a daily basis, what I like best is the relationship with the customer.

As a Customer Support Technician, my duty is to perform support work with the goal of customer satisfaction. I love challenges. I respond to all kinds of incidents, and I learn new things every day. I participate in ensuring customer satisfaction.

In addition, at Net4All we are given the opportunity to quickly demonstrate our skills, which makes for a most satisfying and challenging experience, every day.

What other areas do you liaise with?

I am in daily contact with the Linux department since we work as a team to be more technically efficient. I also collaborate with the Sales Department as regards deployment of projects on Windows infrastructure. On a larger scale, I work with the whole team.

What made you wish to join Net4All?

My priority was to join a company that conveys strong values: team spirit and quality of service. What is more, the company is very people-oriented and the work environment is very pleasant. The team’s powerful technical skills have appealed to me as well, which push me to constantly improve, both personally and professionally.

On a personal level, what do you enjoy doing?

Spending time with my family. I am a young dad. I love to share moments with my daughter and see her growing up! Football is my second passion. I have been playing since I was little. In short, I like to take advantage of the great opportunities life has on offer.
